Vickery Extension Project

RSA was engaged by Vickery Coal Pty Ltd, a Whitehaven Coal operation, to deliver water management and erosion control infrastructure for the Vickery Extension Project. The Vickery open-cut coal mine is located in the Gunnedah Coalfield of northern New South Wales, approximately 25 kilometres north of Gunnedah.

RSA’s scope of work was delivered in multiple stages and included:

• Construction of Sedimentation Dam A
• Construction of the eastern clean water diversion channel, connecting existing natural hydrolines to divert clean water away from mining operations
• Construction of western dirty water diversion channels and associated access tracks
